About Me
Whitney Spence, CPDT-KA
I have always had a love for animals. When I just started high school, my family decided to adopt a dog for the first time. This is when when adopted a Jack russel/Black Lab mix named, Hollywood. Very quickly we realized we needed help as she was very people and dog reactive. We found a trainer and it opened my eyes to the world of dog training. I began to research and once I found positive reinforcement training, I never went back. I now have a strong passion for working with reactivity and misunderstood dogs. Nothing makes me happier than being able to help owners understand and build a connection with their dogs. Our dogs are always talking to us and it is up to us to acknowledge and show them what they can do. I have a Border Collie mix, Kimchi, and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Soju, that love to perform tricks.
I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer- Knowledge Assessed, and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. I continue going to conferences and attending virtual lectures to continue growing in the ever evolving science-based training.
